Privacy Policy

Furtune ("we", "our", or "the app") is a daily companion app that gives your pet a voice. We take your and your pet's privacy seriously. This page explains exactly what we do and do not collect.

1. What we collect

Nothing leaves your device. Furtune does not run any backend server, does not have user accounts, and does not transmit any personal data to us or to third parties.

The following data is stored only on your device (in browser localStorage on the web, in Apple SwiftData on iOS):

• Pet profiles you create: name, breed, gender, birthday, birthplace, optional anniversary day, optional photo you upload.
• Your reading history (which pets you've opened daily cards for).
• Your selected interface language.

2. What we do not collect

• No analytics or tracking SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Mixpanel, etc.).
• No advertising identifiers (no IDFA).
• No crash reporting that includes user data.
• No location.
• No contacts, calendar, microphone, or any sensor data.
• No data sold, rented, or shared with third parties — because we never collect any in the first place.

3. Photos you upload

If you upload a photo of your pet to use as the avatar, the photo is compressed and stored on your device only. It is never uploaded to any server, not shared with anyone, and not used for training any model. Removing it from the app deletes it.

4. Computation is on-device

Daily fortune readings are computed entirely on your device using a SHA-256 hash of the pet's profile and today's date. No internet connection is required for the core experience.

5. Children's privacy

Furtune is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since the app collects no personal information at all from anyone, no special handling is necessary.

6. Your control

You can delete all of your data at any time by:

• Removing individual pets from the "My readings" history.
• Clearing browser data (web).
• Uninstalling the app (iOS).

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in-app.
